Nanny Pelosi On The View Today (VIDEO)

Check below for update.

I was going to take some time to transcribe some of this drivel, but I thought I’d just let my readers listen/watch for themselves. Nanny-state Pelosi is not worth wasting my time on. I think she overstates the success of Obama’s magical mystery tour. Watch for the exchange between her and Elizabeth, though. Oh, and Nancy won’t acknowledge the surge was a success either.

And particularly, watch for Whoopi’s expressions; especially when Joy “Blowhard” Behar asks why Pelosi didn’t go for impeachment proceedings against the President. Pelosi actually says there is no verifiable crime they could find. Watch Behar as her boxers get in a bunch over that one!

Watch the video here.

***UPDATE***

h/t to Justin McCarthy at Newsbusters. He’s got a great piece about this, and he also provided relevant transcript:

ELISABETH HASSELBECK: When Katie Couric was interview him [Obama] he still didn’t admit in clear terms that the surge was a success, the surge that he indeed did oppose, and we would be in a different situation had he been making the decisions there. Do you still feel that same way that the surge was not a success?

HOUSE SPEAKER NANCY PELOSI: We had this conversation before Elisabeth. The surge’s purpose was to have a military time frame where there would be military security to enable the government of Iraq to make the political changes necessary for reconciliation. I said it before when I was here and I’ll say it again: Even with all of the time that has elapsed, they still have not done that.

HASSELBECK: The sectarian violence is down, the civilian deaths are down. I think we need to acknowledge-

PELOSI: The security has, has been improved, but the purpose of the surge was to pass the laws to bring the reconciliation, so we can bring our troops home safely soon honorably and responsibly. And that has not happened. Now the government of Iraq is saying “we want you to go home.” So maybe the time has come for us to sit down with them and figure that out.

[...]

JOY BEHAR: You’ve ruled against impeaching George Bush and Dick Cheney. And now Kucinich is trying to pass that. Why do you, why do you insist on not impeaching these people so that the world and America can really see the crimes that they’ve committed?

[applause]

PELOSI: Well, I think that it- I think it was important- When I became speaker- and by the way, a very important position, president, vice president, speaker of the House- I saw it as my responsibility to try to bring a much divided country together to the extent that we could. I thought that impeachment would be divisive for the country. In terms of what we wanted to set out to do, we wanted to raise the minimum wage, give the biggest increase in veterans benefits to veterans in 77 year history, the veteran- pass research in stem cell- the stem cell research, all of that. This week we’re going to pass equal pay for equal work. It has been a long time in coming [applause], pay equity. We’re going to pass legislation for product safety, for toys that children put in them. There’s an agenda that you have to get done, that you have to try to do it in a bipartisan way. The president has to sign it. If somebody had a crime that the president had committed, that would be a different story.

BEHAR: Can they still do it after he is out?

BARBARA WALTERS: When, when we first- when I interviewed you last year, you had just begun, and you were going to clean up the mess, remember?

PELOSI: We did.

WALTERS: You, you look around this country, 75 percent of the country, forget George Bush, thinks that Congress is doing a lousy job.

HASSELBECK: I think it’s 91 percent now.

PELOSI: Well, I don’t disagree with that because largely it’s predicated on ending the war in Iraq. That’s the main question, and we were not successful. In our House of Representatives, I’m very proud of our members because they voted overwhelmingly over and over again to bring the war to an end, to bring the troops home safely and soon, send it to the Senate, and it hits a dead end. But in terms of that particular standard, I would say I disapprove as well. But we do, we passed some of the things I just mentioned, the energy bill. We worked in a bipartisan way, and ovation, agenda, we have to create jobs, expand health care, protect the American people, and educate our children. And you can’t do that if you’re trying to impeach the president at the same time, unless you have the goods that this president committed these crimes.

BEHAR: They did it to Clinton.

PELOSI: But they didn’t have the goods and it was wrong, and it was wrong, and it was wrong when they did that. Not that I- I have total disagreement with president on the war, the reason why we went in, which was based on a false premise. But that’s a different story than saying “can we try to get something accomplished for people,” have concerns about the economy and the rest.

Thanks, Justin.

Joy Behar on Rachel Ray & Michelle Malkin (VIDEO)

Today on The View, Whoopi brought up the recent dust-up at Dunkin’ Donuts over the ads with Rachel Ray wearing the pro-Palestinian keffiyeh. Of course the entire panel was appalled, but Joy Behar had to point out that the blame belonged to the right-wing blogosphere, namely Michelle Malkin.

Has Joy any shame whatsoever? She thinks ‘oh, yes, this is today’s fashion, but so what?’ and tries to equate wearing of the keffiyeh to all the Danes who wore the Jewish Star so the Nazis wouldn’t know who the real Jews were. It was also suggested that perhaps all of us should wear these keffiyehs in solidarity for their perceived insanity. Not gonna happen here.

You can watch the exchange here.

Joy Behar on Operation Chaos (VIDEO)

Today on The View, the gals were chatting about the election results last night, and Joy Behar got all up in arms about “Operation Chaos.” She’s furious about it and wonders “Why is Rush Limbaugh tampering with the democratic process?”

…because this IS the democratic process, you idiot!

You can watch the chat here.

Barbara Walters on Rosie (VIDEO)

Here’s Barbara Walters on Oprah talking about the volatility of Rosie O’Donnell.

I’m just waiting for the “other shoe” to drop from the Rosie side about this.

Whoopi Likens Rev. Wright to Pope (VIDEO)

Sen. Barack Obama was on The View today, and prior to his appearance on the set, the women had a discussion about the significance of recent statements by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Elizabeth was especially offended by Wright’s most recent comments, as reported by a NewsDay blog:

“From the Wright-written eulogy for scholar Asa Hilliard in the Dec. 2007 edition of the Trumpet magazine: “(Jesus’) enemies had their opinion about Him… The Italians for the most part looked down their garlic noses at the Galileans.”

Then Whoopi chimes in after Elizabeth describes her disdain for these statements, and likens Rev. Write to the Pope! She said that like JFK’s problems with his spiritual leader, the Pope, Obama can’t be held responsible for HIS spiritual leader’s comments. What? Did JFK sit in the cathedral every week for 20 years at the Vatican? Don’t think so. And neither did Barbara Walters, who rightly points out that JFK’s issue was with his religion; not his spiritual mentor.

Then dumbass Joy gets in on it, and says she doesn’t understand all the fuss, and that all religions have said crazy things in the past that would be found offensive by somebody. Rev. Wright offended “somebody?” Are you kidding me? He offended EVERYBODY with his statements. And you’d think as an Italian, she might be offended at Wright’s “garlic nose” comments. Well, you’d be thinking incorrectly. She actually did not take offense to it, and found it oddly flattering. Again, what? I wonder what Joy’s opinion would be had a Republican, or say someone like McCain, been the one to have made that comment. Joy, since when is “looking down” someone’s nose not offensive? It means that person thinks they’re better than the other, so what is it you’re saying?

But then again, when you watch the interview with Barack on the couch later on, Joy acted like she’d probably reach over and stick her hand down his pants had the camera not been on. Shameful but not surprising, this painful fawning over the “Messiah.”

You can watch their discussion here.

The View on The White House Christmas Card (VIDEO)

Well, I may be a couple days late and more than a dollar short, but here is the video of Barbara Walters being aghast at receiving a “Christian” Christmas card from President Bush and his family. The stunned host of The View displayed the card apparently hoping to elicit a complimentary response to her reaction. Did she get it?

Here’s a partial transcript from LifeSite:

“First of all, let me show you the cover of the White House, which is nice and bland…So that’s pleasant enough. This is what interested me, that it is a religious Christmas card. Usually in the past when I have received a Christmas card, it’s been ‘happy holiday’s’ and so on- And this says:

“‘You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You gave life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.’

“That’s from Nehemiah in the Old Testament. I don’t remember- and I’m sure people will remind me-getting a religious card. Now does this also go to agnostics and atheists and Muslims and -”

Moderator Whoopie Goldberg and co-host Sherri Shepherd tried to steer clear of controversy by joking that the Scriptures were about Walters, but Walters persisted in her critique, asking, “Don’t you think it’s a little interesting that the president of all the people is sending out a religious Christmas card?”

Oh, the HORRORS! Please, Barbara, save us from this absolute TRAGEDY of a U.S. President expressing his Christian wishes during this *gasp* “Christmas” holiday!

Watch Barbara’s shameful display here.

Curtis Sliwa on Rosie Oh! (VIDEO)

On Friday, Curtis Sliwa and Ellis Hennican were on Hannity & Colmes to talk about Rosie’s latest eruption. Sliwa goes nuclear on Rosie! In all reality, I’m surprised the Blob still has a job, considering she slammed her own network ABC in her most recent rantings.

Ellis is, as you can expect, the liberal apologist for Rosie. What else is new? Oh, and Curtis gives you a mental image of a Rosie piñata. Heh.

Watch the two-part segment here and here.
