Don’t Piss Off a Southern Judge (VIDEO)

Georgia criminal court judge + criminal defense attorney = justice. All in all, the criminal loses and the justice system wins. But the worst loss of all is the defense attorney.

Woudn’t you love to have Judge James Bodiford as your Mayor/Governor/Represenative? I know I would!

Only Seven More Days….

… and it seems like this week will last FOREVER! Only 7 more days to go until Jack is back, and we’ll finally get to see some wicked righteousness come back into our lives with Season 6 of “24.” Yes, I know Jack Bauer is only a fictional character, but I can only hope and pray that will all the spinelessness that’s been shown recently (on both sides of the aisle), that there are some “Jack Bauers” in this world.

I will be blogging after each episode, and that will start this same time next week. Keep watching! I may sneak a video clip or two in. For the time being, watch the extended trailer on the Fox “24″ site here.

Is There New Hope for the U.N.?

h/t to Drudge for this late-breaking story about the new U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon via the AP. Apparently, Ban has ticked some of the U.N. appeasers and thugs off by not denouncing the death penalty carried out against Saddam Hussein.

Secy. General Ban Ki-moon

From the AP:

New U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon ran into trouble on his first day of work Tuesday over Saddam Hussein’s execution when he failed to state the United Nations’ opposition to the death penalty and said capital punishment should be a decision of individual countries.

The U.N. has an official stance opposing capital punishment and Ban’s predecessor Kofi Annan reiterated it frequently. The top U.N. envoy in Iraq, Ashraf Qazi, restated it again on Saturday after the former Iraqi dictator was hanged.

Ban, however, took a different approach, never mentioning the U.N. ban on the death penalty in all its international tribunals, and the right to life enshrined in the U.N. Charter.

“Saddam Hussein was responsible for committing heinous crimes and unspeakable atrocities against Iraqi people and we should never forget victims of his crime,” Ban said in response to a reporter’s question about Saddam’s execution Saturday for crimes against humanity. “The issue of capital punishment is for each and every member state to decide.”

His ambiguous answer put a question mark over the U.N.’s stance on the death penalty. It also gave the new chief an early taste of how tricky global issues are, and how every word can make a difference.

And here’s an even more promising passage:

Ban later addressed hundreds of U.N. staff members in New York and via teleconference at eight locations around the world, urging them to maintain the highest level of ethics and discipline in the face of recent criticism about lack of accountability, ethical lapses and inefficiency at the U.N.

“I stand before you humbled, with a heavy weight on my shoulders, but my heart is beating with quiet excitement,” he told them.

The new secretary-general has said his first priority will be to restore trust in the United Nations, whose reputation has been battered by the oil-for-food scandal in Iraq, corruption in the U.N.’s purchasing operations and sexual abuse by U.N. peacekeepers.

Oh, and guess where he ate on his first day of duty? In the U.N. cafeteria with other U.N. workers, and even stood in line to pay for his meal of meat and rice just like everybody else. Gee, what a refreshing change! I’ll bet Kofi would have never been caught dead associating with lowly U.N. staffers. The article even says the staffers were stunned by this act.

Bravo, Ban! Now we finally have a secretary general who understands what it’s like to have to deal with brutal dictators (especially their own neighbors). And I doubly agree that it’s up to the individual member state to decide their own dang policy on whatever they choose. If Iraq wants a speedy death penalty, then they can have it. I just think we should take some clues from them on convicted murderers in the U.S. Let’s hope this is a sign of good change at the U.N. Thank God Kofi is gone.

NYTs - Saddam’s Execution Rushed? (VIDEO)

Today Mike Gallagher and the ever pixie-like Laura Schwartz go toe-to-toe on Your World to discuss the New York Time’s piece on the execution of the brutal tyrant. Seems the NYTs is posing the idea that maybe there was a rush to execute Hussein. Hmm…. rush to execute. Sounds to me more like they’re confusing the new Iraqi justice system to the American judicial system’s 20- to 30-year time frame it takes to execute a convicted person on Death Row. I am personally thinking the U.S. could take a few clues from the Iraqis on this one. We spend way too much money and time on these executions, and some never go off at all.

As usual, Mike is the voice of reason over the peace-at-any-price kumbaya freaks on the left who don’t ever want to see anybody given justice. Well, maybe except for those Republicans or U.S. military members who’ve pulled frat pranks on insurgent detainees, or who are on trial for something in another country, for which there are no witnesses save a few locals who are shielded from the court proceedings altogether, and their testimony never questioned.

I guess justice is only for those whom the liberals deem it necessary, but for nobody else.

Watch Laura and Mike duke it out here.

Noel Sheppard of Newsbusters has it covered. Ian’s covering it, too.

The Butcher of Baghdad has been sent to slaughter.

Party of One… Saddam, Your Noose Is Ready For You

***UPDATE 12:15 AM EST***

And thanks to Drudge again, here’s a photo from C-TV of the “Hanging Scene:”

This will be the last update to this post, and I will post the hanging video when it’s available - or any stills from it. Happy New Year, America, and a very Happy New Year to all of our troops who have worked and are working so hard to keep going strong. We still need you guys and gals, and we believe in what you’re doing. I think we’ll start to see some visible positive effects now once people know for a fact Saddam and his henchmen can never hurt them or threaten them again. Death never came soon enough for a better person. And I don’t think he’ll be going anywhere near any God - I think his after-life is looking quite blood-red and VERY warm.

More celebratory pictures for our enjoyment…

Good day sunshine

There goes another statue

And the Iraqi-American street parties continue

****************************************************

More Iraqi Americans celebrate.

***UPDATE 10:28 PM EST***

Saddam Hussein executed in Iraq

Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein has been executed by hanging at an unspecified location, reports say.

Iraqi TV said the execution took place just before 0600 local time (0300GMT). It was witnessed by a doctor, lawyer and officials. It was also filmed.

US troops and Iraqi security forces are on high alert for any violent backlash.

Saddam Hussein was sentenced to death by an Iraqi court on 5 November after a year-long trial over the 1982 killings of 148 Shias in the town Dujail.

Al Arabiya says Saddam was executed sometime between 5:30 & 6:30 AM Baghdad time, and celebrations have already started in areas of Iraq. David MacDougal said there have been still photos of his hanging and the execution, and he’s hoping that means there will be a video released soon. Stay tuned!

***UPDATE 10:22 PM EST***

The celebrations in Dearborn escalate over his execution. And one of Saddam’s lawyers is arguing with Greta over how innocent Saddam was, and is denying the gassing of the hundreds of thousands of Kurds. They’re all lying sacks of shit - including Ramsey Clark. OOohh! Greta might trade in her liberal stripes after this one! Go get ‘em, Greta! She’s not taking ANY flak!

***UPDATE 9:08 PM EST*** Boy, the graphics are coming hard and fast… I got this one from Theodore’s World via R-Cat….

… and this one from Seven Stripes

What a SWEEEEET way to end this year! I hope that this video gets released on the internet QUICKLY so we can all post it. To all those wussy MSM journalists who refuse to print any images, even if they’re published, SCREW YOU! You have published pictures of the Virgin Mary with dung all over her; “innocent” Iraqis dead in the street; and, oh, yeah, video of American soldiers and Marines being shot by insurgent snipers. But, Mohammed cartoons? Nooooo way! Pictures of Saddam’s dangling body? Noooo way! Too sensitive!

Screw all of you and screw Saddam most of all. Thanks to the blogosphere, this video, once released, will be the most highly viewed video of all time. If they can show Nick Berg and Paul Johnson, et. al., then we can show a swingin’ Saddam. It’ll sound at first like a skeet shoot: “PULL!” then “THUD.” hahahahahaaaaa

HA! Good riddance to bad rubbish, you worthless piece of dog squeeze! There are 72 Virginians waiting for your dumbass… along with a million very pissed off Shi’ites and Kurds. Jackass. Don’t believe me? Watch “Saddam: Weapon of Mass Destruction.” I’m going to toast the New Year early for the Kurds and the Shi’ites who have all lost loved ones to this bastard.

P.S. You payin’ attention Aquavelvajhad and Kim Jong Mentally Ill? The next ones will be for your asses.

P.P.S. Oh, and Ramsey Clark? You can kiss my ass, too, you traitor!

These are definite future US Military men and women. HOOah! Kids say the darnde…. uh, kids say the BEST damn things! Oh, and the British kid has quite the Blair flair!

Watch the video here.
