NBC’s Collinsworth Questions Kobe’s Patriotism (VIDEO)

Typical anti-American tool at NBC. Chris Collinsworth had a brief segment with Kobe Bryant of Team U.S.A. about what the Olympic games mean to him this year. Chris asked him about what it felt like when he first got his U.S.A. uniform, and Kobe begins to talk about what an honor it was for him to get it. Here’s part of the conversation:

Collinsworth: Where does the patriotism come from inside of you? Historically, what is it?

Kobe: Well, you know it’s just our country, it’s… we believe is the greatest country in the world. It has given us so many great opportunities, and it’s just a sense of pride that you have; that you say ‘You know what? Our country is the best!’

Kobe Bryant

Collinsworth: Is that a ‘cool’ thing to say, in this day and age? That you love your country, and that you’re fighting for the red, white and blue? It seems sort of like a day gone by.

Kobe: No, it’s a cool thing for me to say. I feel great about it, and I’m not ashamed to say it. I mean, this is a tremendous honor.

Collinsworth actually seemed a bit surprised at Kobe’s pride in his country.

Rice & Saakashvili Speaking in Tblisi (VIDEOS)

Today Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Georgia President Mikheil Saakashvili were together in Tbilisi at a joint press conference about the state of affairs in Georgia today.

You can tell Saakashvili is fed up with diplomacy. He even reminded us that today we are facing evil (and he wasn’t afraid to say it). Most of the drive-by media are excusing Russia and blaming Georgia, but that’s just the lefty way; cuddle up with America’s enemies and you are in the good graces of the kook fringe left. This press conference was so good, I decided not to slice it at all. I want everyone to be able to see everything, including the Q&A session. Saakashvili is a passionate man who is standing his ground unapologetic, has had enough of the bullshit from the Russians and their propaganda machine, and he’s not backing down. In fact, in parts, I thought I was listening to Ronald Reagan.

You can watch the entire press conference in segments here, here, here, here, and here.

The “Chosen One” Explained

Well, I’ve been wondering for a while about how long it was going to take comic strips to get in on this. Now, whether or not this is intentional on the part of the creators of “Baby Blues“, it is so apropos that it can’t be ignored.

Here is the strip, with explanation of my take on it to follow.

Baby Blues Pt. 2
Baby Blues Pt. 3
Baby Blues Pt. 4

Subtlety is priceless. When you bypass all the rest because you’re too lazy to change your own diaper, why not go to your mommy (the government)? She is, in this instance, the “Chosen One.” Much like Barack “Barry” Obama. He will change your diaper, clean up your shit, feed you, heal you, educate you and take care of your every whim and need. Unfortunately it will be at the cost of the rest of us hard-working taxpayers in this country. This is EXACTLY why Neal Boortz calls this the “I Want My Mommy” election.
