God Bless You, Tony Snow…You Will Be Missed

Wow… we’ve lost another great one today. I was prepared to go straight to bed after having stayed up all night watching TV, but I turned on the TV to see that one of my favorite people, Tony Snow, had passed. I could not be sadder. He was only 53 years old, and colon cancer took his life. The world is missing a great friend today. Godspeed, Tony.

We all love you and miss you very much. A legend is gone.

Michelle Malkin has great coverage here.

He was so intelligent and well spoken, a real and true gentleman. I used to love it when he'd sub for Rush because he represented his views so well and treated his callers with great respect, even those who didn't return the favor. I think every president should have a Tony Snow representing him, he was the best press secretary I ever saw. I can only imagine that He got the express elevator to the pearly gates.

A sad loss indeed and while so youthful at that. It's a pity that during his tenure at the White House he was in such a one-sided contest of intellect with the Washington Press Corps. Might have been more stimulating for him if they put a few independent real journalists to even things up, rather than that lock-step herd of communications majors. Here's to you, Mr. Snow.
