Ana Cox: ‘Crack-Dealing, Prostitute-Using Republicans’ (VIDEO)

This morning, on Morning Joe, Ana Marie Cox of Time.com put her two cents in regarding the case of Idaho Sen. Larry Craig. Joe Scarborough was talking about the case, said something about Duke Cunningham exchanging “sex for jokes,” and wondered aloud “what’s wrong with these Republicans?”

In comes Ana. She mentioned people engaging in “risky boneheaded behavior,” but then said “I think the closeted gay Republicans are sort of a different case than your crack-dealing, prostitute-, you know, using, Republicans.” WTF? Who is this crack-dealing Republican of which she speaks? And what is this “sex for jokes” of which Joe speaks? I’m confused. Is this just a major pile-on or what?

Watch the lunacy unfold here.

Disclaimer: In posting these two pieces, I am in NO WAY excusing the alleged actions of Sen. Craig. I’m merely pointing out the hypocrisy that exists on the left. They always circle the wagons around their own, no matter how much money they have in the freezer, etc., yet the GOP always ousts its offending members while the left cries “foul” as if they never do any wrong.

  1. thomast Says:

The crack-dealing Republican would be SC State Treasurer and (former) Giuliani state campaign chair Thomas Ravenel. And yeah, Democrats’ reaction to/treatment of Jefferson is totally comparable to Republicans’ dealings with DeLay, Vitter, Ney, Stevens, Young, etc (the full list would give me carpal tunnel).
