Voices of The Fallen (VIDEOS)

Newsweek has some heart-wrenching videos in their latest issue on the stands. The series is called “Voices of the Fallen,” and although I have some political differences with the magazine in general, some of these videos are just…. well, they are…damn. I can’t find the words after watching the following two.

Damn. Just. Damn. These are the true heroes of our time. May these troops rest in peace. And heaven help any defeatocrat who votes to cut off funding for our troops that are there or who might be en route.

As a vet with friends who have kids are in Iraq I surely 'support the troops.' But not the war. But I'm not sure what 'support the troops' means anymore. I emphasize with them but have a hard time these days justifying their presence as 'protecting my freedom.' I think they are stuck in a nasty political vendetta by a bumbling frat boy and his war mongering, constitution shredding, incompetent advisors, who really run the show (www.newamericancentury.org/). And I'll tell you (before the hawks jump all over me) I really hate feeling this way.

thanks for sharing and posting those two vids, MsU. FanFARGingtastic!
Amazing how those testimonials to what is going on there, from the eyes and hearts and perspectives of the guys in the sand doesnt get much if any play on the evening news. As tragic as these deaths are, and the deaths of my friends that have also died over there, they died doing what they felt was right, what they felt was making a difference, and what they felt needed to be done. It really doesnt get much better than that as a way to spend your life trying to make things better.
God Bless them and their families.

    Kudos to Newsweek!

    Max, out.
