Yes I agree that the causes of this war are shakey however I firmly believe this bill will only bring about failure.

All you need to do is look at history.

Congress and the media are so quick to compare the War in Iraq with the Vietnam War, calling it a failure. And I can agree with that, that the two wars are nearly identical. However, the idiots in congress like to pick and choose which parts of history they want to acknowledge.

This is what happens when the only hope for justice in a hostile region gets up and leaves. These men, women, and children are desperately trying to get out of Saigon with the retreating Americans. And rightfully so.

My heart aches for that soldier and burns with fury for our government. Congress voted to send these men and women. These men and women are doing a valiant job. They do the job with honor and know that it is a righteous war. I only hope that the soldiers out there forgive us for failing them here at home. We did not do enough to get the proper people into political power.

The general public know more about ANNA NICOLE and AMERICAN IDOL than about AMERICAN TROOP STRENGTH, MILITARY SCIENCE, TACTICAL ADVANTAGE, and CIVIL AFFAIRS. Public opinion is not, repeat NOT, a substitute for analytical knowledge and understanding.

MILITARY, DIPLOMATIC, AND GEOPOLITICAL ISSUES require actual information, not a damn public opinion poll, skewed to the preference of those paying for the phone calls.
