Andy Rooney & Imus Support Draft (VIDEO)

Jiminy Christmas, folks… I could improve on this segment, but I implore you to listen to Rooney’s reasonings why a “drafted” Army would be far superior to a “volunteer” Army. This was from this morning’s “Imus” show. Andy Rooney is losing it, and we all know that Imus is a lost cause.

Rooney: Well, I think a draft produces a better Army than the one we’d have with all volunteers because I think you get average Americans if you have a draft. And if it’s an all-volunteer Army, you get people who join up because of some problem in their own lives. They don’t have anything else to do, they don’t have a job. They can’t find what they want to do, so they join the Army…and it doesn’t produce the best Army.

Huh? Average Americans? Don’t know what else they can do? Are you smoking crack, Andy? or are you just getting too damn old to give your stupid opinions.

Rooney's right, when I was in the Army I was amazed at the level of stupidity that existed. Now that we are in a 'economic draft' it's even worse.

What a nasty and despicable thing for Rooney to say. Geesh! We have the finest military the world has ever known and this fool says they are only there because they can't find a job. makes me sick.
