Kurdistan: The Other Iraq (VIDEO)

An unbelievable piece on 60 Minutes this past Sunday. I’m actually kind of surprised they showed this. Even though the Kurds want their own separate state, this still shows that progress CAN be made in the Middle East, and more importantly, the country of Iraq.

I was so glad 60 Minutes did this piece, as Kurdistan had previously launched a PR campaign to tout the beautiful things about the Kurdish land, and they apparently even have a booming tourism industry. They’ve released several commercials not only to invite tourists to come to Kurdistan, but also to thank America for helping them become free of Saddam’s brutal reign.

Watch the 60 Minutes segment here.

I think we (US and WEST) should offer more support to KURDS, because it seems that they are the only ones who understand and believe in democratic values. It's about the time that US begins appricating it's true allies in the region, instead of taking them for granted.

BUT...this is impossible. Nancy and Ted and Hilliary and Jane F have told us that all is lost in Iraq, we have made everything worse, and no one has benefited from the regime change. There are no thankful Iraqi's, there are no immunization programs for the school children, there are no schools being built, there is no progress, there was no 98% turnout for elections. OBVIOUSLY, these KURDS are propaganda pawns of the US Government and the evil BUSH.

I agree, Ms U... hard to believe this piece made it to main stream media at all, and even more it hit 60 Minutes?

God Bless America, God Protect our troops, and God Bless the free Iraqis.
