Another semi-surprise tonight on the Grammy’s. Ludacris was accepting an award for whatever (who cares?), and at the end of a long laundry list of “thanks” were two you’d probably least suspect. Once you watch this, you’ll understand he’s being just a bit smarmy.
Well, this is only one segment I caught on the Grammy’s, so Natalie may have already spoken her piece, but after they won the “Best Song of the Year” Award for their tongue-wagging “Not Ready to Make Nice” about their smack at President Bush, Natalie actually said she was speechless. I guess I was waiting for projectile vomiting to spew forth, but not in this segment.
The most interesting thing I noticed, and you will, too, is at about 18 seconds in. The camera pans the audience as they applaud wildly for the Chicks, I couldn’t help but notice the visible displeasure or, at least, a level of being underwhelmed by country artist Cowboy Troy. I can’t, for the life of me, remember the name of the white cowboy to his right, but neither of them look like they’re celebrating the Chicks’ win.
