Montel Williams’ Bush-Bashing Fest (VIDEO)

***Scroll For Updates***

Okay, I know this post is sparse, and I haven’t had a good chance to watch the entire video, but I wanted to run home at lunch to do a quick edit on this and get it up on my blog.

It’s amazing that just yesterday, Montel’s show was about our Navy & Marines serving in the Persian Gulf, praising their work and talking about what an important job they’re doing (video of that to come later).

Now today, he has Joe Scarborough on, along with a host of other guests including Cheri Jacobus, Amy Holmes, actress Morgan Fairchild and some military family members to discuss Bush, the war in Iraq, our horrible economy (/sarcasm), and various and sundry other issues that gave him such pleasure to bash the President of the United States and his Administration. It’s more of the “BUSH LIED, BUSH LIED” B.S.

Gee, can you tell which flavor Kool-Aid Montel drinks? Sounds like he’s probably buddies with the likes of John Conner et. al.

I apologize if it’s not quite as neat as it can be, but I’ll give it a better edit this evening when I get home. For now, you can watch the video here.

***UPDATE***

Okay, I dropped the part about minimum wage so the file would be smaller. I still had to considerably compress it, but you can watch the first part of the show, just about Iraq, here.

One observation I did make, and wonder why Montel didn’t, is about the comment he made about needing the draft back. Montel said we need to have the draft back if we will be able to sustain the current or future wars, and said it was really necessary so that others (read “rich white kids”) will have to fight in this war, and it won’t be just the “poor” and “minorities.” ~Ahem~… uh, Montel? Remember that show you did yesterday aboard several Navy & Coast Guard vessels in the Persian Gulf? Um… I was just curious; did you happen to notice how many “white folks” there were on those ships? Did you also notice how many people of color told you of their frustration that the media was not telling America the truth about the good things they are doing over there? Um-hmm… guess you forgot about that, didn’t you. Well, just to refresh your memory, you might want to review these clips from that show here and here.

Gee; I love how you use the terms “multi-national troops,” “all-volunteer” personnel, and “defending Iraq’s democracy” only when you’re praising the troops while you’re with them. Guess you didn’t want to get your ass kicked on board with the Marines and Sailors. I also find it incredible that you pontificate about “just how important it is to protect this region of the world,” yet one day later (today), you are bashing Bush and the Administration for taking us into an unjust war. Which is it, Montel? You can’t have it both ways.

Oh, my god, Ms., I couldn’t even get past the intro! Rumsfeld and Cheney lying to the American people? Does Montel really believe they had anything to do with CIA intellegence, and if so, what possible movtive could they have for wanting to unnecessarily START A WAR???

Pelosi=hope? Ms. Underestimated, I seriously don’t think I can watch the rest of this video! What a bunch of braindead liberals!

I only listened to the first few minutes. Seems like a reasonable discussion so far. Though it’s one that’s been beaten to death already for the last 3 years.

But WHAT in hell is Morgan Fairchild on there for? She’s an actress! Does she have some expertise on the subject of war? Not that I know of. And on Drudge today the banner headline is “Liz Taylor Endorses Hillary”. WHAT???

Are we going to hear from every celebrity on political and foreign policy issues from now on? Who gives a damn about what they think? My God, next we will be hearing Rodney Allen Rippy on Oprah telling us what he thinks about the ‘08 election. It’s getting to where I can’t even stomach television anymore. It’s always been stupid, but now it’s just absurd.

Ms. Underestimated, I just got this comment I want to share. Apparently some people watched Montel today and got pretty worked up! I got this on my blog under my entry when I was on Montel. It’s a great comment. Here it is:

    ******************
FIRST off - I am late arriving to this discussion, but found it because of Montel’s new diatribe today, he has another ‘white’ woman ‘neo-con’ he is using as bait for everyone in his panel to attack. One of his ‘experts’ is Morgan Fairchild, and I’m sorry, but she’s only an expert in plastic surgery, not the war and certainly not polictics. And I am so very tired of the very rich elite leftists telling me, a midwestern middle class woman how badly I have it because Bush is in office. I had it bad when Clinton was in office.

Amy, I just want you to know that your site is the 4th I’ve found just Googling Montel and the phrase ‘racist’ that all described being a guest on his show, the mistreatment you experienced, how you were not allowed to respond, and sadly, you all have basically the same story to tell: Montel invites people on his show that do not share his opinion/side of things, but has NO intentions of allowing them to show him the reality of what most Americans know: terrorists suck and they unfortunately come in all colors. Watching him berate his guests, outshouting them is disturbing at the very least, and makes me wonder why he didn’t stay with (as other commentators have suggested) Sylvia Browne as his forte’.

Tim and Trent - kudo’s to both of you for your very well worded responses to some of the uninformed commentators on Amy’s website. To those who are so quick to say ‘whites are racist’ are usually the first ones to claim they are not. riiight.

Amy - I’m with most on here: how in the hell did you manage to sit next to that piece of shiite Jesse? You have a very strong constitution woman! go you!!

But enough of that, todays diatribe is more of Montel showing how it’s Bushs fault that our military is so ‘poorly paid’, yet don’t mention the very REAL documented fact that Clinton destroyed the military, and in fact, most whom served under him (no.. NOT Monica) were not happy to call him their CIC, a title he did not deserve. Then a black woman ‘dared’ to say that her family managed to make it and help her save for college on military pay, and Montel quickly told her to ‘quit lying’.

The fact remains: don’t join if you don’t want to serve. Montel screams about how Bush wants a draft, YET he fails to remind his ‘guests’ and viewers how he personally said on one of his shows: If all high school graduates were required to serve in the military in some form after graduation, then there would not be a shortage in the military. Is that NOT a form of draft. I realize the difference in the language, for those that are stupid enough to try to respond to me that they are not the same, but in fact, Montel is saying that the United States of America should FORCE america’s youth into military service for a certain time frame.

He’s a hypocrite and I believe he is a racist as well, because every chance he can, he brings up the differences in white peoples opportunities and black peoples opportunities, without recognizing that opportunities are just that. Whether or not someone takes them is not due to their color, but their own lack of intelligence. Montel loves victims, especially when they are black and don’t want to help themselves.

  5. Amy Proctor: Bottom Line Up Front Says:

    Another Bush-Bashing Montel Show…

Ms. Underestimated caught the horrid episode on video. I don’t recommend watching the whole thing. In fact, the introduction gives a pretty good idea of what you can expect throughout the program and if you don’t feel nauseated, you may be able to to…

  6. S. Morlan Says:

Well Ms. No one should have a problem with boosting the soldiers moral. They are fighting for whatthey thought was just. The problem is, if every leading intelligent person in the world seem to agree that we have created instability in the middle-east and to continue on the present course will only hasten the situation in Iraq, then why doesn’t our ‘Fuehrer’ I mean President, who can’t even speak his mind without making a fool of himself, just listen. He HAS openly admitted to being less than intelligent concerning strategies and tactics, and IS known to fire any Military General who disagrees with his position. The majority of people I talk to seem to agree that there is a problem with this regime and its tactics. How can so many be against HIM and no talk of impeachment be in order? What has happened to this Democracy? It sure doesn’t seem to work as one. . .

  7. MsUnderestimated Says:

S.Morlan, the core of your argument is false, sir. The United States is not a Democracy; it’s a representative Republic.

The rest of your diatribe doesn’t merit response.
