What more would you expect from Neal Gabler on Fox News Watch? The topic was the apparent forgiveness of Mel Gibson by Hollywood after his anti-Semitic tirade after a drunk-driving incident.
Neal Gabler talks about the types of absolution in Hollywood and with the media, and someone brings Sean Hannity into this (because Sean Hannity interviewed Mel extensively this past week). Neal said that Jay Leno gave Mel absolution because of his celebrity status, but Sean Hannity gave him absolution because he’s a “right-wing lunatic.” I bet the conversation in the hallways tomorrow at Fox News will be rather interesting. Nobody can say that Fox News isn’t “fair and balanced.” I’d like to see one MSNBC host call Keith Olbermann a left-wing whackjob live on TV. Yeah, fat chance.
