Rodeo Roundup Of Videos from Last Week

I know, I know, some of you are going to be upset with me for not posting these more timely, but I explained in a previous post, video blogging is not as easy as you think, especially if you work 40+ hours a week. So, on those busy busy weeks, unless it’s a hugely significant or important story, I may have to resort to an end-of-week “Week in Review” of videos from some of the shows of the week. I intended to do this over this past weekend, but for once, I chose to take some “me” time. I think I’m entitled to that ONCE in a while, so anyway, without further adieux (is that spelled right?), here is my Video Rodeo Roundup from last week (and yes, they’re all from Fox – there’s only so much I can take of MSNBC or CNN).

Well, here goes the free-for-all roundup.

First, we have Brian Rohrbaugh, who is the father of a child killedin Columbine. He was on Bill O’Reilly to talk about his “Free Speech” segment he did on CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. You see, Brian got a lot of flack because he mentioned *gasp* God! CBS intolerant? Naaaah… say it ain’t so. Katie apologized saying she realized some might find his speech about loss of moral values and the denouncing of God might be “repugnant” to some. Huh? Watch here.

Next up, we have an entire panel on H&C discussing the Soros link to the Foley IMs, as well as a discussion of the muddling that seems to be happening in the press between the emails and IMs. Some media outlets are not distinguishing between the two. Luckily for us, Ann Coulter was involved in this debate, as was Jane Fleming of Young Democrats of America, so you know it was lively! Oh, and let’s not forget Jerry Studds. Watch here and here (two-parter).

Crazy Shirley Phelps Roper on H&C tries to explain why the little Amish girls deseved to die. This is probably the one and only area in which Sean & Alan agree – as do most Americans. Shirley is a stupid bitch, and if anybody is going to hell, it’s her and her “church.” There’s one thing I do agree with that Shirley says here. She said that she, too, deserves to die. Well, then… Hmm. Watch Crazy Shirley here.

Next up with have the 2nd Amendment being discussed, primarily because Rosie O’Donnel used the Amish school massacre as an opportunity to bash our right to keep and bear arms. What a dumbass. I predict Rosie won’t last much longer on the View. There’s a difference between being liberal and being a lunatic. Lunatics don’t get ratings for a day-time woman’s show. Watch Rosie do her thing, and the H&C panel debate the issue here.

Speaking of lunatics, we move along to George Soros, to whom Neal Cavuto gave some spotlight this week. It’s hard to even describe my response to this. Is it just me, or did Neal kiss his ass? I report, you decide after watching here.

Emilie Loundsberry of the Philadelphia Inquirer was on Bill O’Reilly to discuss the Amish girls’ funerals, and the humility of that community of kind and gentle souls. So sad and heartbreaking. Watch Emilie talk about the services here.

And now for a bit of humor. Sean showed a segment of Dennis Miller when he was recently on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Sean’s embarassment? Jon Stewart asked Dennis this question: “Hannity or Colmes?” This Daily Show piece is hilarious, but Sean doesn’t think so. I love Dennis Miller and am glad he’s a regular fixture on H&C now. Watch Sean blush here.

Now it’s Shirley and Margie Phelps speaking out against Bill O’Reilly. You know, seeing those two sisters together I’m reminded of Patty and Selma, Homer’s wicked sisters-in-law on the Simpsons. LOL. Watch Gallagher explain to Bill why he negotiated the air time for Shirley-girl here.

Next up are Jane Hall and Bernie Goldberg on O’Reilly discussing and dissecting the Woodword book, “State of Denial.” I agree with Bernie and Bill (and you know I would) that the whole timing Woodward book’s publishing date is fishy. Don’t agree with me? Watch Bernie and Bill explain it here.

Bill, Bernie and Jane continue with our dear Rosie. Rosie seems to find some moral equivalency between the Pope and Fmr. Congressman, Mark Foley. Can this bitch get any more insane? Watch the debate over this here.

Here’s Dennis Miller on another Friday “Real Free Speech” segment on Hannity & Colmes. This time, Dennis talks about environmentalism. Very interesting take, and, as usual, extremely funny – right here.

Next we go to Fox News Watch on Saturday. I was anxious to see this one, considering Foley was going to be the topic of one segment. Neal Gabler, like Juan Williams, is not usually one that disappoints. And he didn’t on this segment either. Again, people seem to have a problem distinguishing between the emails and the IMS. Check it out here.

The Fox News Watch final segment was about the panels’ take on FNC’s 10-year anniversary. Interesting are the differences between the group. Gabler said that what happened with Fox with the increased graphics, opinion in primetime (that was new?) all lead to the people being “swiftboated” and nobody could do anything about it – he said that “Fox is in their heads now.” Jane Hall said Fox has tapped into an anti-elitist attitude, which has unfortuately lead to more partisanship. Don’t believe me? Watch that segment and hear it for yourself right here.

Whew! I’m worn out now. And this didn’t even include the stuff I got on the VHS tape! But anyway, that winds up last week’s roundup for this time. Look next weekend for a round up of this week’s clips again. Yippee-kiyae m***** f*****!

And when the first Phelps funeral rolls around, it will be the most protested funeral in history. The families of the victims they have insulted over the years will want to a make a..."special" appearance on that day.

I cant decide.... it DOES seem to be both the wacky chainsmoking ditz sisters on Homer Simpson... as well as the cryptkeeper.

ALL I know...someday soon, members of the Phelps family will be having a meeting with God...who will be explaining in patient, calm tones like talking to a mentally handicapped puppy, not like "A RAGING MAD GOD"... how terribly wrong FRED and his inbred family have misinterpreted scripture, christian teachings, and basically...all civilized social contracts with their behavior. And then they will be directed to the down escalator, joining several hundred suicide bombers, nazi stormtroopers, and assorted other deceased sewer rats.
  • You know, the fact that Rohrbaugh, Limbaugh and others have made it on CBS means something. You're not going to change their minds but at least our message is going out on CBS. Baby steps. Baby steps. I count this as a victory.

I'm not advocating violence, but how long before some deranged person goes to that church in Topeka claiming to be doing God's will and murders them all? I (believe it or not) would hate to see that happen but these people are really teetering on the edge of something like that happening. In the end, all it will do will confirm the media's assumption that all Christians are either nuts or nasty. FOX is fair and balanced and all but not every view should be given credence and airtime. If it was a KKK memeber, they wouldn't be given the time of day. This church should also be marginalized as such.

I know, they put themselves in the spotlight, but the media could move the light.
  • Cryptkeeper....

Is it me or does Shirley Phelps look more and more like the cryptkeeper every time she's on TV?!
