John Kasich blew it with his interview. I was watching it, pissed off that he gave up the chance to slowly tear her view apart in favor of cheap theater.

'What would your mother think'?? Nice question, John. Her response was, I hate to say, perfect. A chance to get a young, oh-so-earnest lefty to defend the violent suppression of free speech...wasted.

That is the weakness of Fox News. All of us out here really care about the ISSUES being debated, but the only outlet that pays attention cares mostly about the political theater.

So, video that could have helped drive up mainstream support for tighter border control becomes just another "outrage of the day." A chance to illustrate how the left is so unaccustomed to having to tolerate dissent is instead limited to berating some young liberal individual. Dang!
