Who Is Mike Stark, George Allen’s Stalker? (VIDEO)

I just caught this today, and I found a blog done by one “Mike Stark,” but this guy can’t be serious. His blog is weak, and he looks like a looney-tune.

This guy needs to get a grip. He’s following George Allen around trying to provoke him. Somebody left the mental ward unlocked again. Sheesh! He reminds me of John Hinckley.

Read NBC’s report here:

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — A man was tackled Tuesday just feet away from Sen. George Allen (R-Va.) as he was walking through a lobby in Charlottesville with Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-N.C.).

Allen was about to talk with members of the media in the lobby when a man walked up and started yelling. As he was pushed away from the senator, the man yelled, “Did you spit on your first wife?” He was then tackled by another man who was wearing an Allen sticker on his shirt.

The man was then escorted out of the building as Allen moved into a conference room.

The man who was thrown to the ground was Mike Stark, a first-year University of Virginia law student and liberal blogger who has dogged Allen at a number of campaign stops, News4’s Julie Carey reported. He routinely questions the senator in the manner of documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, but on Tuesday his shouted questions drew the ire of Allen’s supporters.

Stark writes on his blog about some of his confrontations with Allen. He also writes that he’s been involved in making videos critical of the senator that have been posted on the popular Web site YouTube.

In fact, after Tuesday’s incident, it took national Democratic party leaders only a few hours to steer supporters to a Web site that featured the video under the headline: “Allen Staffers Attack Man At Campaign Stop.”

Watch Stark get taken-down here.

Montage of Kerry Past & Present, and Responses (VIDEO)

Tonight Brit Hume had a select series of video clips all the way back from the 70s, to the SwiftBoat Vets, up to today’s latest response and reaction to Kerry’s latest johnson-stomp. This is like an all-skate for an insight into Kerry’s long-standing views against the military. It also includes clips from President Bush’s speech in Perry, GA today.

I agree with McCain, and I actually wondered when this was going to happen. After I heard what Kerry said yesterday, my first thought was “oh, holy crap… I’ll bet McCain won’t be too happy about this!” Kerry jumped off the deep end on this one, and I’m afraid after this, he won’t find the shallow - unless he’s looking in the mirror.

Watch the video here.

Stop the ACLU has tons of links to all this.

Ann Comments on Kerry’s “Botched Joke” (VIDEO)

On the Big Story with John Gibson, Ann Coulter came on just after the President’s live speech in Georgia to give her reaction on the day’s events, as well as what she thinks about the upcoming elections. True-to-form Ann, she doesn’t disappoint. She rightly points out that if a “right-winger” had said the same thing Kerry did about the troops, this whole ‘context’ argument would be a moot point.

I’d love to see Ann Coulter go head-to-head in a debate with John Francois Kerry. Boy, it would be a bloody battle, wouldn’t it?

Watch Ann’s take here.

The fallout is far and wide on Kerry’s actions, and it would take me forever to link to everything here. Just go take a look-see for yourself. You’ll find links ‘o plenty! Especially at Stop the ACLU.

Bush At Stump Speech in GA Reacts to Kerry (VIDEO)

President Bush was in Perry, GA today campaining for GOP candidate, Mac Collins, and I gotta tell ya folks…Bush was on fire! He came up with a new slogan I haven’t heard yet. He got the crowd involved in a “Democrats in Washington Just Say No” chant that was infectious. He started it, and almost on cue, the crowd roared “JUST SAY NO!” when needed. Watch and see. This is the most jazzed I’ve seen Bush in a long time.

Oh, yes, and there’s that little matter of the Senator from Massachussetts, John Effing Kerry, and his hateful, disdainful comments about our troops while on the campaign trail with Dem. Phil Angilides, talking to students in Pasadena, California:

“You know, education, if you make the most of it, if you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, uh, you, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

If that wasn’t bad enough, later today when sKerry held one of several press conferences, Kerry came out and said “I apologize to no one.” Oh, really? Let’s just see how far this gets the Democrats this season.

Bush: “The Senator from Massachussetts owes them (the troops) an apology.” [thunderous applause]

I’ve included more than Bush chiding Kerry here, because as I said above, the President gave one of the most impassioned, fiery speeches I’ve heard/seen him give in a while. It’s very much worth watching. Oh, and Dems… hide your eyes and shield your ears; the President mentions “the Almighty.”

Catch Bush’s speech here.

Regular Guys’ Larry Wachs Speaks Out

As I wrote about last night, Wild Bill and I have been in contact with Larry Wachs, who is part of the radio duo the Regular Guys. They used to be the morning drive-time DJs on 96Rock here in Atlanta, but seems like a sister station under the same corporate umbrella has a couple of weasels who work for them that were offended by Larry’s joking and teasing. In case nobody ever informed Yogi & Panda (no, I’m not kidding - the team on the Mexican station Viva 105.7 are called “Yogi & Panda”.. and yes, I said “Mexican” and not “Latino”), “shock jock” radio, especially drive-time, is full of insults that get hurled from show to show, personality to personality, all the time. Apparently Y&P didn’t like to be teased, and took it all the way up to station management and filed a civil lawsuit against the Regular Guys.

For more details about the background, see the Regular Guys’ website.

Today I got to interview Larry Wachs via email because at this point in time, he cannot speak out on the air (we invited him to call in to W.A.R.) about the situation due to legal issues. Here’s what he had to say:

1) When did the fallout with Yogi & Panda first begin, and what was the exact action that started it all?

To my knowledge it began in March of this year, when we invited them on our show to discuss the Latino protests that were taking place in Atlanta and around the US. They were unprepared and complained afterward, but company managers told them that they should not come on our show anymore if they didn’t want to look bad on air. They were also told Y&P on more than one occasion that our point of view and presentation was perfectly OK.

2) Did you ever have any indication they were taking personal offense to things you were saying or doing prior to the complaints?

No.

3) Have they ever done anything similar, or poked fun at you and/or Eric? If so, were you offended?

I don’t know, but other hosts have. It’s all part of the business we are in and it’s fair game. What’s lost on them is that we make comments about other hosts as well, and in a lot of cases, the amount of comments we make about other individual hosts are more than we make about Y&P.

4) Did you receive any warning other than the complaints that were going to management about you dishonoring their “culture?”

None. We were never told that what we were doing was out of bounds.

5) What are the listenership numbers for the Yogi & Panda show? If you don’t know, are they available with Arbitron?

They have pretty good numbers from what I understand and they do a good job of getting audience. Arbitron does have that information.

6) Do you feel there was a concerted effort by them to have their fans also complain to management? If so, do you feel they were taking advantage of the language barrier with most metro listeners to get away with saying things knowing a lot of people wouldn’t know what they were saying?

I don’t think so. The station had monitors and translators in place to deal with the usual issues of profanity and indecency. To my knowledge they didn’t talk about us, but I wouldn’t have cared if they did. It’s part of the business. If you can’t take criticism, you should find another line of work.

7) Have you been physically threatened by any of them or their fans, or do you think this is just a publicity stunt to shame the Regular Guys and stifle your free speech?

There have been no physical threats. I don’t think their listeners really were aware of what was happening until recently.

8) Do you think the PC Police in Management are erring on the side of caution due to fears of being labeled racist?

Perhaps.

9) Do you plan any counter-action once this is over? Or concurrently?

We are answering their claims and filing some of our own.

10) Do you feel this is just hint of things to come, i.e., the liberals’ “Fairness Doctrine?”

No.

11) Do you have any plans to take your show elsewhere should they succeed in getting your show permanently taken off the air? If so, where?

They have already succeeded in having us removed from Clear Channel. I plan to take the show elsewhere and get on with business.

12) Is there anything that fans of yours (and my readers) can do to help you out right now? Write letters, email, etc.?

Discussion of the case and the issues in the proper forum is always of great help. Of course, if you are a broadcaster with a need for great content and talent, I’d love to hear from you.

13) When will you be able to verbally speak out about this?

I’m not sure.

14) Have you looked into whether or not the Yogi & Panda duo have done this to other non-Latinos before?

No. I don’t think they have, but I do know they’ve had a suspension and content problems of their own in the past year or so.

So, folks, if any of you all know anyone in radio who’s looking for talent, Larry Wachs has a long successful record in many markets. Please drop me a line at MsUnderestimated@gmail.com if you know of anything that might be of interest to Larry, and I’ll pass it along. And please discuss this on your blog sites with your readers. The PC Police are taking over the airwaves.

And for those of you who didn’t see my previous post about it, the Regular Guys did an awesome interview with Wild Bill on the Foley non-issue. You can listen to that interview here.

Hey, Bill…. you ready for some more digging? Looks like we got another investigation on our hands.

Read Larry’s initial statement here from yesterday.

Beware the Beastman and Jake at FreedomFolks are on this, as well.

Lynn Cheney Blitzes CNN’s Wolf (VIDEO)

I know I’m late on this one, but it bears repeating. Why does it take someone like Lynn Cheney to call CNN on the carpet for their terrorist-appeasing ways? Their airing of the sniper snuff films recently shows they obviously don’t give a damn about our troops’ widows, but they were oh-so-concerned about offending Muslims with the Mohammed cartoons.

Moral relativism? Not even in the same category. Shame on CNN, and BRAVO Mrs. Cheney for Blitzing Wolf with the truth about CNN!

Atlanta’s 96Rock Regular Guys Suspended Again

Folks, this is the lowest of the low. Wild Bill and myself were recently on Larry and Eric’s “Regular Guys” morning drive-time show at 96Rock about the IMs Foley with an adult page, Jordan Edmunds, and they were very fair to us. Larry and Eric are known to be conservative-leaning, and they have been suspended in the past by Clear Channel for a mishap on an audio segment that wound up going awry (a sex chat that was supposed to have played backwards, but by accident it didn’t. And they were fired). The Regular Guys are one of the, if not THE, most popular morning FM show in the Atlanta area, and every time they turn around, somebody’s trying to screw them.

Well, the latest was a tiff over a Mexican radio station crew who has taken over 105.7FM in the same building. Apparently the Mexican hosts can’t understand American humor, so racial insensitivity complaints were lodged, and eventually the Regular Guys were suspended again for some stupid PC bullshi*. Larry and Eric gave both Bill and I a fair shake, and unlike most of their interviews, they didn’t joke about us or make fun of us after the interviews. These are some really good guys, and the ethnic PC forces are at work here. I need ALL of you to please do what you can to tell Clear Channel Communications just what you think about their selective punishment of the Regular Guys just recently. I guess in the liberal bastions of some “shock jock” shows just cannot tolerate either Libertarian or Conservative views.

Here’s what Larry Wachs had to say on his blog:

I HAVE A STATEMENT TO MAKE
Bloggers, journalists, broadcasters, listeners, and friends—

As you may have heard, The Regular Guys Show has been terminated once again by Clear Channel Radio. In the past week, my partner, Eric Von Haessler, and I have been silent during a paid suspension while we awaited the results of a company investigation into a minor incident that has since snowballed into something that now demands a public response due to the fact that the principals on the other side are attempting to distort the facts and smear my reputation as a citizen and broadcaster and, in the short term, withhold my income without review or discussion with us.

All of this current mess took root, to my knowledge, in March, when the first national Hispanic illegal alien protests were taking place. We were doing our show in Orlando, from Braves spring training. Listeners started calling us on the air to get our opinion of the boycotts that were going on throughout the metro area and in other major cities across America. As the calls increased in volume, it became the only topic that day as it was on many talk shows across the country.

At one point in the show, we asked a producer to go down the hall and invite Yogi and Panda from Viva 105.7, also owned by Clear Channel, on the air to discuss the issue since some listeners had told us that they were exhorting their audience to boycott and take the day off. They agreed to come on and were ushered into our studio with our board operator, and we had a spirited discussion on the air.

In subsequent days, they complained to local Clear Channel management that they had been “disrespected” and that we should be lectured and punished for being in disagreement and making humorous comments about their point of view, all of which occurred exclusively on the air. Clear Channel management told them on more than one occasion that the opinions we express on the air are fair game, as are theirs, and protected not only by CC company policy, but also the 1st Amendment, and that if they didn’t want to look bad on the air, perhaps they shouldn’t agree to come on our show in the future. Nonetheless, the complaints continued unbeknownst to me through the year.

Fast forward to two weeks ago.

I was in the restroom down the hall from our studios after our broadcast was over on October 9, 2006. I carry a voice recorder on me and had it out to make some notes for a show meeting five minutes hence. Into the restroom walked Mr. Tapia and Mr. Carias who passed me at the urinal and headed for the two stalls in the corner. It’s a small restroom and there is no way they could not have seen me, further evidenced by the recording of them yelling insults at me from behind the stall doors which proves they knew I was there, knew I was recording, blowing up their claims of expectation of privacy, and that they still had an axe to grind about my on air opinions going back 7 months. They refused to talk to me like men. They chose to go into the bathroom stall and shout epithets in Spanish, not knowing I understand enough to know they were insulting me. Never have I engaged them in anymore than a simple wave hello off the air in the entire time we both worked there. In addition, the company has approved similar bits like this in the past.

This sparked another round of complaints to the company, who offered reasonable solutions to satisfy their ongoing and baseless grievances, but, insisting it was about the “honor of their culture,” Mr. Tapia and Mr. Carias went ahead and filed the criminal charge in Fulton County Magistrate Court against me and then filed civil complaints in Superior Court of Fulton County, GA against the company for “negligent hiring” and harassment and invasion of privacy chargess against me personally, omitting in the affidavit the salient fact that all remarks made about them and immigration were on the air, never off the air.

I have been more than willing, at the company’s request, to agree in writing not to even so much as speak of Yogi and Panda on the air going forward, for the sake of company harmony, and clear up any misconceptions they have about my opinion of them personally, which was on the favorable side, since they serve their audience well and deliver good ratings numbers and revenue.

A case of a humorous prank has turned into a culture clash, a suppression of 1st Amendment rights, and a ridiculous smear campaign against me as well as termination of my income without due process.

My friends, if crap like this is allowed to happen, I see the “Fairness Doctrine” looming mightily on the horizon, and all conservative talk radio hosts will be doomed; and for no other reason than liberal talk radio has failed miserably.

Here’s the contact info for 96Rock.com:

Additional 96Rock telephone numbers:

Studio Line: 404-741-9696

Office Line: 404-325-0960

And here’s Clear Channel’s Corporate info (PLEASE CALL OR WRITE!):

Corporate
Clear Channel
200 East Basse Road
San Antonio, TX 78209
Phone 1-210-822-2828

Folks, Larry and Eric need our help. This is just NOT right. The Mexican stations are taking over here in Georgia, and they’re using their “you’re offending my race” excuse to drown out American radio voices. It’s time to take a stand.

A good article where Eric responds to what happened, and here’s a petition to bring back the Regular Guys. Please, folks… get involved. These are two really great guys who are getting the shaft.

Wild Bill and WideAwakesRadio will soon have posts about this as well. This is just wrong.

FINALLY, a Republican candidate I don’t have to hold my nose to vote for… in fact, I think I’m rather excited about this.

1:32PM EST

I finally found it in print. Duncan’s going to run!

Rep. Duncan Hunter has shown little interest in seeking higher office during his 26 years in Congress. Suddenly, he is positioning himself for a presidential bid.

A Republican official said Hunter, who chairs the House Armed Services Committee, planned to announce Monday that he was considering a run for president in 2008. The announcement would allow the lawmaker to begin raising money and organize supporters in early Republican primary states such as Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. The official didn’t want to be named ahead of Hunter’s announcement.

Hunter spokesman Joe Kasper would not comment on Hunter’s plans, other than to say that he would be holding a news conference in San Diego at 11 a.m. PST Monday regarding electoral plans for 2008.

Hunter told Fox News Channel Sunday,”I’m going to make an announcement about a national campaign in’08.”He didn’t elaborate, other than to say it would be made from the waterfront”where I started my humble career in 1980.”

Oh, and did I mention he’s against NAFTA, CAFTA? More good stuff:

Hunter, 58, became chairman of the House Armed Services Committee in 2003 _ a position he would lose should Democrats take control of the House after the Nov. 7 midterm election. By making an announcement now, he can begin raising money while still heading the committee.

The Vietnam War veteran, the recipient of a Bronze Star, has made his mark in Congress by advocating for a strong military and border security. He played a leading role in the construction of a 14-mile double fence on the U.S.-Mexico border that is nearing completion in San Diego. He co-authored legislation signed by President Bush last week that would extend the border fence to 700 miles.

Hunter voted against the North American Free Trade Agreement and the Central American Free Trade Agreement and opposed most-favored-nation status for China. This year, he was a vocal critic of a deal that gave a Dubai company control of some operations at six American ports.

Folks, I’m telling you right here and right now; I’m backing Duncan Hunter all the way! I’m SO glad we will have a strong candidate who believes in what the majority of America believes in - strong border enforcement and tough on terrorism. He may be a dark horse, but if he does announce today, I’m going to volunteer for his campaign.

Jay at Stop the ACLU is on this, too.
