The U.N. as Handmaiden of Terrorism

This investigation was done in 2004, but this testimony of Mr. Jed Babbin, Former Deputy Undersecretary of Defense, is so relevant today. This testimoney was given before the United Nations Oil for Food Program investigation by the Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality, July 8, 2004.

The investigation was based on the Oil for Food probe, but the conclusions reached by Babbin were stunning:

As serious as the Oil for Food scandal may be, it is – after all – only about money. There is a corruption in the UN and its agencies that is far more important to every American. It is not financial corruption. It is a moral corruption, a decadence of thinking and reasoning that tolerates terrorism. No, it is more than tolerance: it is acceptance of terrorists and the nations that support them evidencing a moral bankruptcy that is unimaginable to most Americans. Let me give you a few examples:

• Hezbollah is an Iranian-backed terrorist organization that has more American blood on its hands than any other terrorist organization except al-Queda. They murdered 241 Marines in the infamous 1983 Beirut barracks bombing. They kidnapped, tortured and murdered Marine Col. William “Rich” Higgins, as well as CIA Station Chief William Buckley. On page 155 of “Inside the Asylum” there is a picture of a “UN peacekeepers’” position on the Israel-Lebanon border. A copy of that picture is attached to this statement. In it, you see two flags flying side by side. One is the UN flag, the other the flag of Hezbollah. While in Israel last November, I spoke to an Israeli soldier who had been stationed at an IDF post on the Israeli side. He told me how the UN “peacekeepers” lived in comfortable coexistence with the murderers of Hezbollah, using the same telephones, sharing water supplies. Were it up to me, not another American dime would be paid to the UN while that Hezbollah flag flies. I wonder: how many other terrorists take advantage of similar UN hospitality elsewhere in the Middle East and around the world?

• The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East – UNRWA – is supposed to be dispensing humanitarian aid and educational services in the Palestinian areas of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. In “Inside the Asylum”, I quote from the testimony of Professor Rashid Khalidi of the University of Chicago. In a US District Court case, his affidavit said that UNRWA hires members of Fatah, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Hamas and Islamic Jihad in disregard of their terrorist ties. I don’t know how many US tax dollars or private donations by Americans go to UNRWA. Whatever the total, if it’s above zero, it’s too much;

• Most importantly, the UN is serving as midwife to the birth of nuclear terrorism. The International Atomic Energy Agency cannot agree on the obvious, that for more than two decades the kakistocracy that runs Iran has been working desperately to produce a nuclear weapon. If the IAEA acted, the Security Council could sanction Iran and maybe, just maybe, we could abort nuclear terrorism without having to resort to war to do so. But the IAEA is willfully ignorant to Iran’s intent and progress. America cannot allow Iran to achieve its nuclear ambitions. By failing to act, by refusing to allow the UN to act diplomatically while it may yet have some effect, the UN is making war more likely, not less.

This is a very significant piece to read, as it is not only timeless, but right now in history, it is timely. Again, educate yourselves.

Moreover, why do we continue to participate in the United Nations, or allow them to try to dictate our activities? They’ve proved themselves a long time ago as an impotent, worthless organization, so why are they wasting so much prime real estate in New York? Your guess is as good as mine, but I want us OUT of the U.N. In the latest war against terrorism, Kofi has obviously come down on the side of Hezbollah, which cannot be excused. As Michelle Malkin recenly revealed, UN & Hezbollah flags have flown side by side, as noted above. When will somebody wake up and do something about this? When will John Bolton be released from his obvious PC-restraints that disallow him from doing what needs to be done? That is, getting the US out of the UN, and getting the UN out of the US!?!?!

The Dissection Of Terrorist Propaganda Made for TV (VIDEOS)

A friend of mine sent me this link, and I have to say I was stunned when I watched the “Pallywood” video. This isn’t just your typical conspiracy theory, people; this is legitimate and with audio/visual proof of the Palestinian production company that is paid to make Palestinians’ “deaths” and “injuries” look factual.

Apparently this is not very new, however it was new to me - but relevant still the same and worthy of passing around. For those of you out there who do NOT believe that a lot of the B.S. casualties on the Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian sides are just that - B.S - this post is just for you! Some are obviously nothing more than what is created in the director’s studio for the media idiots to buy into, swallowing hook, link, and, in this case, stinker!

From the site Second Draft, you can read and see the truth also about the Al Durha “incident.” From the Pallywood video, here’s what the producers say:

“The material we show here constitutes a tiny fragment of a much larger phenomenon, raw footage from Palestinian photographers working for major western media outlets. From this material, our news agencies prepare news reports that shape our perceptions of what is happening in the Middle East Conflict.

We think that a close analysis of this material defies all expectations of what such footage should resemble, and suggest that Palestinian photographers do not at all share the same production and journalistic values espoused by a free press. We leave the experience and the judgment to you:”

So, like they suggest, you watch for yourself and YOU decide. This is absolutely astonishing, and I can’t believe I’ve not heard of this before.

Second Draft has a new investigative film out, as mentioned above, on the Al Durha alleged incident. It’s called “Birth of an Icon: Al Durah - What Happened?”

The image that captured the world’s attention - was it true?

“People who followed Middle East news in 2000 cannot forget the image of Muhamed al Durah, gunned down in a hail of Israeli bullets at the very beginning of the Al Aqsa Intifada. The impact of this dramatic footage on global culture is close to incalculable. Its prominence goes far beyond any other image from this terrible conflict and its impact goes far beyond any of its other images, one of “the most powerful images of the past 50 years,” one of the shaping images of this young 21st century. One extreme claims that it reveals Israeli malevolence and wanton violence, deliberately targeting a defenseless child and killing him in cold blood. “In killing this boy the Israelis killed every child in the world” (Osama bin Laden). The other side claims that it was either staged or a snuff film that reveals the ruthless and paranoid nature of PA media culture… the first blood libel of the 21st century. Even-handedness – Who knows who did it? It’s a tragedy – doesn’t work here. If we hope to learn anything from this terrible event, it will come from examination. We put the evidence before you and the five possible scenarios with arguments for and against. Judge for yourself.”

Each movie is about 15 minutes, so total 30 minutes of your time. I urge you all to watch both of them, as this is such a very important issue in our time. Stay informed, stay alert, and stay safe. God bless America, and to hell with the mainstream media! I will never look at the Islamofascists “casualty” reporting the same again.

Watch the “Al Durah” video here.

…and Michelle Malkin, as usual, is all over it!

“A Difficult Lesson” - by David Bogner

When some talk about “moral equivalence” or “disproportionate force,” they miss the very essence of what is deemed a “fair fight.” For those of you who need a reminder of how it really is, I offer you this:

When I was in the Navy, I once witnessed a bar fight in downtown Olongapo (Philippines) that still haunts my dreams. The fight was between a big oafish Marine and a rather soft-spoken, medium-sized Latino sailor from my ship.

All evening the Marine had been trying to pick a fight with one of us and had finally set his sights on this diminutive shipmate of mine… figuring him for a safe target. When my friend refused to be goaded into a fight, the Marine sucker-punched him from behind on the side of the head so hard that blood instantly started to pour from this poor man’s mutilated ear.

Everyone present was horrified and was prepared to absolutely murder this Marine, but my shipmate quickly turned on him and began to single-handedly back him towards a corner with a series of stinging jabs and upper cuts that gave more than a hint to a youth spent boxing in a small gym in the Bronx.

Each punch opened a cut on the Marine’s startled face and by the time he had been backed completely into the corner he was blubbering for someone to stop the fight. He invoked his split lips and chipped teeth as reasons to stop the fight. He begged us to stop the fight because he could barely see through the river of blood that was pouring out of his split and swollen brows.

Nobody moved. Not one person.

The only sound in the bar was the sickening staccato sound of this sailor’s lightning fast fists making contact with new areas of the Marine’s head. The only sound I have heard since that was remotely similar was from the first Rocky film when Sylvester Stallone was punching sides of beef in the meat locker.

Finally the Marine’s pleading turned to screams…. a high, almost womanly shriek. And still the punches continued relentlessly.

Several people in the bar took a few tentative steps as though they wanted to try to break it up at that point, but hands reached out from the crowd and held them tight. I’m not ashamed to say that mine were two of the hands that held someone back.

You see, in between each blow the sailor had begun chanting a soft cadence: “Say [punch] you [punch] give [punch] up [punch]… say [punch] you [punch] were [punch] wrong [punch].”

He had been repeating it to the Marine almost from the start but we only became aware of it when the typical barroom cheers had died down and we began to be sickened by the sight and sound of the carnage.

This Marine stood there shrieking in the corner of the bar trying futilely to block the carefully-timed punches that were cutting his head to tatters… right down to the skull in places. But he refused to say that he gave up… or that he was wrong.

Even in the delirium of his beating he believed in his heart that someone would stop the fight before he had to admit defeat. I’m sure this strategy had served him well in the past and had allowed him to continue on his career as a barroom bully.

Finally, in a wail of agony the Marine shrieked “I give up,” and we gently backed the sailor away from him.

I’m sure you can guess why I have shared this story today.

I’m not particularly proud to have been witness to such a bloody spectacle, and the sound of that Marine’s woman-like shrieks will haunt me to my grave. But I learned something that evening that Israel had better learn for itself if it is to finally be rid of at least one of its tormentors:

This is one time an Arab aggressor must be allowed to be beaten so badly that every civilized nation will stand in horror, wanting desperately to step in and stop the carnage… but knowing that the fight will only truly be over when one side gives up and finally admits defeat.

Just as every person who had ever rescued that bully from admitting defeat helped create the cowardly brute I saw that evening in the bar, every well-intentioned power that has ever stepped in and negotiated a cease-fire for an Arab aggressor has helped create the monsters we see around us today.

President Lahoud of Lebanon, a big Hezbollah supporter and a close ally of Syria, has been shrieking non-stop to the UN Security Council for the past two days to get them to force Israel into a cease fire.

Clearly he has been reading his autographed copy of ‘Military Success for Dummies: Arab Despots’ by the late Gamal Abdel Nasser of Egypt. Ever since Nasser accidentally discovered the trick in ‘56, every subsequent Arab leader has stuck to his tried and true formula for military success:

Instigate a war.

Once the war is well underway and you are in the process of having your ass handed to you… get a few world powers to force your western opponent into a cease-fire.

Whatever you do, don’t surrender or submit to any terms dictated by your enemy. That would ruin everything! All you have to do is wait it out and eventually the world will become sickened at what is being done to your soldiers and civilian population… and will force a truce.

Once a truce has been called, you can resume your intransigence (which probably caused the conflict in the first place), and even declare victory as your opponent leaves the field of battle.

This tactic has never failed. Not once.

In fact it worked so well for the Egyptians in 1973, that to this day they celebrate the Yom Kippur War - a crushing defeat at the hands of Israel - as a military victory! No kidding… it’s a national holiday over there!

President Lahoud has already begun to shriek like a school girl to the UN Security Council to “Stop the violence and arrange a cease-fire, and then after that we’ll be ready to discuss all matters.”

Uh huh. Forgive me if I find that a tad hard to swallow. He allowed Hezbollah to take over his country. He allowed the regular Lebanese army to provide radar-targeting data for the Hezbollah missile that struck the Israeli destroyer. He has turned a blind eye while Iranian and Syrian weapons, advisers and money have poured into his country.

And now that his country is in ruins he wants to call it a draw.

As much as it may sicken the world to stand by and watch it happen, strong hands need to hold back the weak-hearted and let the fight continue until one side finally admits unambiguous defeat.

Here’s the original link to Bogner’s post - rather brilliant, I must say. And thanks go to this person for sharing this with me and my friends:
