I’m Back from the Rally

Whew! What a drive, but what an absolute RUSH of adrenaline, and an injection of pride and hope that willing Americans can come together to truly affect government change. The Fair Tax is serious legislation that deserves serious committment from grassroots organizations, and YOU need to go to the website and volunteer!

It’s been an exhausting evening and I just returned home. I will post in detail tomorrow, and have pictures from the rally.

By the way, John Stossel is GREAT! He left us with this small anecdote: 1% of the people of the world actually put change in motion; 9% of people watch the change taking place; and the other 90% wake up one day and ask “what happened?”

We ARE that 1% who are willing to take it to the street.

It’s Off to the Fair Tax Rally!

Well folks, I know I’ve been silent lately, but for those of you who know me know I’ve been going through not only a hosting service change and a server change, but also a publishing platform change, as well. Thank GOODNESS WordPress is so easy to use!

FairTax Boox

Aaaannnyyyway, I’m goint to be attending the Fair Tax Rally tomorrow night in Atlanta, and Neal Boortz will be the local host, along with Congressman John Linder (author of HR25, SR25 - the Fair Tax bill), Herman Cain, and of course, Sean Hannity. Sean will be doing H&C from the Gwinnett Convention Center that night, and it should be FUN! Country artists, Banks & Shane, will open the show, and I’m just hoping to get some good pictures so I can post tomorrow evening about it.

Does the American public have what it takes to put aside one night of the American Idol finale to attend something that has some extremely important political and societal impact? I certainly hope so.

Well, wish me luck, and check back here tomorrow. I’ll have LOTS of pics from the Rally… hope you all go to the site, www.FairTax.org, and sign up to be a volunteer! I did, and it really doesn’t hurt one bit. Some say “why bother? nothing’s going to change.” I say to them “every change in this country, whether it be good or bad, was brought about by grassroots efforts.” So, if I don’t try and put in my 2 cents worth, I have no right to complain about the over-burdensome tax system ever again.

Ms. U
