On the Cover of the Rolling Stone – GWB

HUGE h/t to Drudge, who has the breaking story just now… The illiterati at Rolling Stone magazine are coming out with their next issue with the cover story pondering whether or not George W. Bush is the “Worst President in History.” It’s obvious they’ve already come to their own conclusion by the “art” depicted on the cover.

And who is the brainiac Sean Wilentz who penned this article? Let’s do some digging. I found some things about him on the web here, here, here, here, and here.

What’s more insulting is the fact our President is cover material only next to what Pearl Jam’s best album is in 10 years, what Nick Lachey’s confessions are, and an article about “Castualy of War – Maimed in Iraq, Abandoned at Home.” Rolling Stone should stick to the Lachy and Pearl Jam piece. That’s what they do best.

    typical.

How about you guys read the article before condemning it? Evaluating Bush in all areas, he's at least one of the worst presidents we've ever had, if not the worst.

Sean Wilentz testified before Congress back in 1998 during the Clinton Impeachment. He is a partisan hack who will rationalize just about anything to further the political fortunes of the Democrat party. Here is the last paragraph from his opening statement to the House committee:

"But if you decide to do this, you will have done far more to subvert respect for the framers, for representative government and for the rule of law than any crime that has been alleged against President Clinton, and your reputations will be darkened for as long as there are Americans who can tell the difference between the rule of law and the rule of politics."

Democrats have floated the idea that Republicans are just plain slow since the 1950s. They will continue to use it as long as they cannot win with ideas.

How dare they insult our Commander-in-Chief? Don't they remember the Commander-in-Chief election in 2004?
  • Yes, they have convenient memories, don't they? Selective memory, I believe they call it.
