The Importance of Making “United 93″ (VIDEO)

Tonight on Hannity & Colmes, “United 93″ producer Lloyd Levin was on, along with David Beamer, father of Todd Beamer, and Gordon Felt, brother of Edward Felt - both heroes who helped save hundreds if not thousands of Americans at the cost of their own lives. And as David Beamer said, “They (the filmmakers) got it right.”

David Beamer and Gordon Felt both talk about how grateful the families were that Mr. Levin and the entire production crew of “United 93″ included the families of those on the flight, and said (unlike some Americans) this film NEEDS to be seen! They gave it their wholehearted blessing. Even Alan said he had seen it the night before, saying it was very “compelling.” You could tell, too, that Alan also was moved by what he saw. He said “there were some moments that you couldn’t even look at the screen.” Must be very realistic, and I for one cannot wait to go see this production.

Some day in the future, when Merriam Webster updates their dictionaries, hopefully they will put the passengers of United 93 under the word “Courage,” with the annotation to “See also: Hero.” Nothing more befitting.

Is this the wake-up call we need? Or, as one of my readers pondered: will we have to re-live it again in real life as opposed to on film before we DO wake up? In the immortal words of Todd Beamer, I say “Let’s Roll.”

On the Cover of the Rolling Stone - GWB

HUGE h/t to Drudge, who has the breaking story just now… The illiterati at Rolling Stone magazine are coming out with their next issue with the cover story pondering whether or not George W. Bush is the “Worst President in History.” It’s obvious they’ve already come to their own conclusion by the “art” depicted on the cover.

And who is the brainiac Sean Wilentz who penned this article? Let’s do some digging. I found some things about him on the web here, here, here, here, and here.

What’s more insulting is the fact our President is cover material only next to what Pearl Jam’s best album is in 10 years, what Nick Lachey’s confessions are, and an article about “Castualy of War - Maimed in Iraq, Abandoned at Home.” Rolling Stone should stick to the Lachy and Pearl Jam piece. That’s what they do best.
