You think I’m joking, right? Well, I’m not. According to a Reuter’s report today, Al Qaeda is actively seeking IT help to support their web & video messages! Imagine that? And I thought Al Jazeera was doing such a BANG up job for them. To me, this speaks of desperate times for them… guess we keep capturing and/or killing too many of their “#2″ positions in the organization! How sad…
DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda has put job advertisements on the Internet asking for supporters to help put together its Web statements and video montages, an Arabic
newspaper reported.
The London-based Asharq al-Awsat said on its Web site this week that al Qaeda had “vacant positions” for video production and editing statements, footage and international media coverage about militants in Iraq, the Palestinian territories, Chechnya and other conflict zones where militants are active.
The paper said the Global Islamic Media Front, an al Qaeda-linked Web-based organization, would “follow up with members interested in joining and contact them via email.”
It also went on to say:
Al Qaeda and other groups have increasingly turned to the Internet to win young Muslims over to their war against Western-backed governments in Arab and Muslim countries.
Gee… wonder why I didn’t see this on “Monster.com?”
I wondered how long it would take the looney left mainstream media conspiracy theorists to start calling the terror threats in NY subways yesterday a “coincidence,” casting doubt upon their validity, and implicating that they might have been orchestrated by the White House (Gee, that Karl Rove sure stays busy these days, doesn’t he?).
Political Teen has the video of MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann doing just that - saying that the Bush Administration was running around scaring the ‘bejezus’ out of New Yorkers, and coincidentally so, with perfect timing just after his address to the nation about the War on Terror. Well, Keith.. since you’ve put this out in the public forum, the onus is on YOU for this. You called these “alleged” terrorist threats, but had they immediately come true and if Bush did not act on them, then you would be saying that he was “asleep at the wheel” (or using some other idiotic phrase like that) and not doing his job!
Oh, but wait.. I forgot… you and your myrmidons have a DIFFERENT set of rules. Yeah, right.. that’s it. So, you have no “onus” because you’re exempt.
By the way… I’m curious… When is Chris Matthews of “Slimeball” going to propose to “Jihad” Cindy Sheehan? The way you and Chris both acted with her, I thought y’all were going to jump in a not-ready-for-primetime 3-way! Your network’s Cindy worship was and is sickening. No wonder your ratings are in the dumpster.
Folks, I don’t like to typically do this, but I have to tell you I can’t say this any better than Neal Boortz did in his “Nuze” today and on his radio show. So, I will give him credit for this, because these are his words but they echo my sentiments exactly. I’d briefly heard about this in the news, but dismissed it because it didn’t seem possible to me, and I also did not grasp the implications. After listening to him discussing this, it sent chills up my spine. So, Talkmaster Neal, here’s to you. You said it better than I can, so I’m giving you your “props” on this one. I can’t improve on this one iota, links included.
From Neal’s Nuze today, in his words:

YOUR INTERNET IS IN DANGER
We won’t go into depth here, but you need to know that the machinery is in motion to turn the operational control of the Internet over to the United Nations. Here’s a link for you to read the story.
Where can this go? Let’s consider for just a moment that document that Bill Clinton called the greatest document ever written by man in support of human rights and freedom. That would the the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This document is supposed to be the great international blueprint for human rights around the world. The document says that it represents “a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations.” Does the UN Declaration of Human Rights protect free speech? Freedom of the press? Well … in a word, yes it does. Article 19 says that everyone has a right to freedom of opinion and expression. So far so good. The declaration also says that everyone has a right to rest and leisure and a right to a standard of living. Interesting. It also says that all mothers and children are entitled to “special care and assistance.”
Problematic, to say the least. But, let’s cut to the chase. Let’s go to Article 29 Paragraph 3. “These rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.”
Do you need to read that again? Please do. It’s critical. This one clause negates every single right recognized in this so-called “Universal Declaration of Human Rights.” You have no freedom of speech. You have no freedom of expression. You have no right to own property. You have no right to your precious standard of living … you have nothing … not one thing if your exercise of those rights interfere with the goals of the United Nations.
Now … back to the Internet. When the United Nations gains control just how far will it go? Will it start censoring the Internet to make sure that nobody posts any information or opinions that might interfere with the “purposes and principles of the United Nations? There is talk, for instance, of a world-wide income tax on the wealthy to fund UN operations. Would anyone be allowed to post an opinion in opposition to this scheme?
Are you worried? You should be. But then maybe you’re more concerned about this evening’s top story on Entertainment Tonight.

Now, I’ll add my 2-cents. Neal is right. If this thing continues to fly under the radar like it is, and the liberal idiots have their way and get us to conform to international pressures (including the Euro-weenies), we are in grave danger, my friends. If it is even “possible,” then our concerns are founded. Our conservative blogs may one day be a thing of the past. We can kiss our proverbial online news-disseminating, idea-exchanging, freedom-of-speech-loving asses goodbye! We will be cut off, because we don’t conform to the U.N.’s “purposes and principles.”
Wake up, conservative bloggers… we gotta get on this!
